Fahrenheit 451

June 16th, 2008 § 1 Comment

A world where books are burned. Where knowledge is what tv provides you with. Where God is just another sitcom member. Where thinking is discouraged or frowned upon. Where you can be burned along with Dante, Milton..
Its a scary world. Its a world I would never step into. Its world I refuse to acknowledge. But I fear its a world we are heading to.

In this digital age, more and more people are leaving books/newspapers/magazines for the comfort and ease of TV. Books/news are now politically correct rather than just be correct. We are more scared of saying wrong things than missing right things.

In 1947, Ray Bradbury predicted it and I’m afraid by 2047, it might just come true.

Am I that scary..

.. that someone cannot even tell me in person that he likes me??
Not that I’m complaining.. I like flowers (yes, I do.. even if i never used to). Esp when they are accompanied by cards talking about my beautiful smile and laughing eyes (those of you who are laughing, shut up).
But I would still like to know the sender’s name. It’s a nice gesture. And I really don’t bite. Contrary to myths about me…

Where Am I?
