Life’s like..

Driving..
Sometimes you just drive without knowing where you are or where you are heading to…
sometimes you try to navigate and reach your destination
sometimes you take shortcuts
sometimes you enjoy the view
sometimes other drivers cause you grief
sometimes you smile with them..

So right now I might be cruising without directions but soon, I’ll end up wherever I’m supposed to…

Another Year Gone…

Older, but still not wiser…
Me thinks this is last celebration.. From now on, I’m forever in 20s… Age Freeze..

Its been an odd day..
Some friends were missed a lot,
Some surprised me with another side..
Some reminded me of old hurts
Some of new joys..

Its been an odd year too..
Some people were missed..
Family is even closer than before..
I understand finances better and my debts :P
I discovered new authors who continue to be awesome..
I saw more movies than ever..
I made some nice new friends..
I almost fell for someone but it wasn’t meant to be..
I realized old chemistries are just old now..
I think I’m a misfit yet I manage to fit in somehow..
I made some decisions which will pay off in long run I hope..
Everyone I know is either married or getting married..
Married ones are busy having babies or planning for babies..
I realized there are some games I just can’t play.. whether it’s about politics at work or games in love..

Overall.. it was ok year.. Lets see how next ones goes…

At times, changes aren’t so nice…

One of my favorites app on AIR was Fresh (yeah yeah, it was just an example)
I would simply launch it once a day.. stay updated with all updates on different blogs I frequent… But Now, like one of those self-obsessed boyfriends, it has decided to behave in most irritating manner… All my custom added feeds are gone.. Even default feeds aren’t uploading.. Judging by problem that kuler desktop had last week, I would day it might be signature issue.. And I seriously can’t be bothered enough to validate this theory.. So, I’m moving on to a new feed reader.. Google Reader, this time… Lets see.. How long does this association last?

PS: I’ll be visiting your blog soon and leave comments as well.. Hang On…

I can be such a disappointment..

It’s been 2 weeks since Mumbai Terror strikes.. I remember how we all spent our days glued to news, calls to friends, making sure everyone we knew over there was ok, discussing politics, venting out frustrations with system, hour long debates on whether we should declare war on Pakistan or not.. Not for a moment, did we wonder about anything else on this planet..
How could I miss warnings about Hurrican Nisha?? How could I forget about friends in Chennai??
I was so busy being worried about Mumbai terror that Chennai Tragedy got ignored..
After reading Brindz’s Blog, I realized terror is not the only thing people have to deal with.. There’s mother nature’s wraith as well…
Better Wise Up soon people…

PS: Sorry Brindz n P n other Infy homies… Hope everyone is good…

Economy Crisis.. Terrorists.. and Lay Offs

I think terrorists are bit of idiots.. Why use war and weapons when you can scare people by just 2 words ‘Global Meltdown’.. Now this crisis is not affected by any religion, caste, color or creed.. And you thought Minorities are being targeted or Vice-versa.. You thought your religion is important, ask the ones who lost everything overnight.. or the ones who don’t have job anymore..

Being a part of global company, measures to control this crisis are expected.. As nations look at their reserves and banks, we turn to our assets and resources.. From cutting down the lavish parties, travel, this cost effectiveness drills down to individuals.. And boom, ta ta bye bye..
I know its rude, its bad.. esp when somebody has given you years of loyalty..
Usually companies do in under “Low performers” and “On-Bench” umbrellas.. makes sense to mind, if you can’t perform, why should somebody pay you? Or if you are on bench, and we don’t have work for you, why should we continue to spend on you?
The worse hit are the ones whose project/product got scrapped.. I mean, just because as management, you decided to change your priorities, I, who was performing well, should pay for it…
I know somewhere lines have to be drawn.. But why these lines usually end up on individuals?

I can ramble on and on.. My head understands this logic, but my heart goes out to ones who are suffering..

On the other hand, be happy terrorists don’t know about this..

Imagine, CEO is forced to fire 2000 employees, leading to stock being plummeted beyond every analysts dream.. which in turn will bring all stocks down in that sector.. There you go, more lay offs..
Now this means, so many depressed and desperate people.. you need to pay your mortgage, your kid’s school fee.. you resort to criminal activities.. so does other 1000 people.. result.. plain chaos..
And you thought you needed to kill people by yourself, such a fool you are, Mr. Terrorist

PS: Yes, I know.. I can’t help being more negative in already negative times..

Finally a Voice against the Queen..

Read it here
And I agree, we should’ve never ever given her so much power…
When anti-terrorism starts focusing on Opposition Parties instead of actual terrorists.. there’s something very wrong..
