Kuler Pulse Beta is up..

If you haven’t been to kuler yet, Visit it now..
We have added a really cool new feature called Pulse, You can see what colors were popular in particular country for any season last year.. and compare it with other countries or seasons… It’s in Beta Stage as of now.. So if you feel it can be even better, don’t forget to leave your feedback at Kuler Talk

Til then, Stay Kolored

At times, changes aren’t so nice…

One of my favorites app on AIR was Fresh (yeah yeah, it was just an example)
I would simply launch it once a day.. stay updated with all updates on different blogs I frequent… But Now, like one of those self-obsessed boyfriends, it has decided to behave in most irritating manner… All my custom added feeds are gone.. Even default feeds aren’t uploading.. Judging by problem that kuler desktop had last week, I would day it might be signature issue.. And I seriously can’t be bothered enough to validate this theory.. So, I’m moving on to a new feed reader.. Google Reader, this time… Lets see.. How long does this association last?

PS: I’ll be visiting your blog soon and leave comments as well.. Hang On…

Feeling HDR these days

Apart from playing around with my new Lightroom 2.0, another thing I’m experimenting with is HDR. I’m just trying to learn and hope to be able to post 1-2 things on flickr.. here are some excellent tutorials that I found for it..
Let me know if you know of something better..

Updating Firefox

ScribeFire has been updating itself for long..
Posting is clearly better now, with all new custom tag support.. better interface..
But this launching Ad page each time on both ScribeFire and my Firefox is sooo irritating.. I think this might be one of the last posts from this plug-in..

On other Hand, Last.fm Add-On is certainly rocking.. All I do is put my station as Recommendations and based on my saved list of artists in last.fm website, it keeps streaming songs.. no Media required.. This One definitely gets Thumbs Up..

Then You have Tab Aging.. Unused tabs keep fading off.. Nice.. :D

And My latest favorite of Add-Ons is Foxmarks.. As I use about 3-4 different machines, synchronization of bookmarks is always an issue.. Now all I do is log in to foxmarks and it updates my bookmarks list.. Headache of importing bookmarks before each machine reset gone… heaven!!!

Enough of Geek Talk.. C ya Laters..

PS: Don’t forget to update your flash player.. FP10 is much better and you would definitely need it once I post Updates about latest Kuler Website (Capital ‘K’ was deliberate, kuler is now ‘Kuler’ :P )

New look of blog

It’s just so hard to select a new look for blog.. I wasn’t much satisfied with the last look.. felt it was bit boring..
Finally selected this one.. Let me know if it renders well on your browser.. I’m seriously thinking of changing it every week, before freezing one.. :D
Yup, that’s so chick-like of me – obsessing over outer appearances than inner content :P

Oh btw.. Don’t expect a post about chrome.. I think I’ll stick with firefox for a while.. Life’s too easy with plug-ins.. And I really don’t stress about memory consumption.. I’ve loads of other products which are better in eating memory as compared to firefox :P

Learning about new Stuff..

Adobe Tech Summit Rocks! No other words for it. You have these great speakers coming in and giving sessions. You have people presenting their Ideas. You have people showcasing their products. You can ask anyone about anything (of course it has to be within their domain/product area :) ) The level of enthusiasm and innovation is just so inspiring. It is things like this which makes Adobe a great company for techies..
By the way, If you haven’t tried AIR by now (Shame on you) Do it Now… Its the future..

Probably I’ll feel more geeky someday and would blog about RIA.. til now.. Ciao

Playing with Colors

I work in a company which makes probably the coolest imaging products. And yet I remain an amateur user of most of our products.. Funny, considering I get to install all software on my laptop for free.. I get software DVDs as gifts.. I have access to all tutorials for free.. Infact I get paid for clearing high-end certifications.. Yet I remain an amateur..
That said, recently I started exploring colors.. Of course it is fascinating but it is so vast and confusing as well.. Especially throw in few color spaces, few conversion algorithms and you are all set to sleep through it, the way you did in college.. Hmmm.. apart from technicalities, color themes are really cool and not to mention color Harmonies.. Very Impressive.. Check out kuler@adobe if you want to know what I mean.. a lookie at FAQs won’t harm either
