What’s the first word that comes to your mind, when you hear word ‘Rain’?
Getting Wet, Hot cup of Tea, pakodas (Somewhat like cutlets) if you happen to be a north-Indian, Smell of earth, Long Drives, Rain dance..
Lots of things but none of these would generate a fear for your house (unless you happen to stay in leaking building).. Not a single one of these things would make you drop whatever work you have and start covering everything in that room you call home.
It’s strange how we always get so happy about rains and how people in slums always worry about them. All that rain means to them is ‘Need of Shelter’, Plastic sheets to cover roof, Leaks, Muddy Pathways, Diseases & Sickness..
I don’t know should I get happy about this untimely rain for relief in temperature or should I remind god that some people weren’t prepared for rains yet and they need to.
Why is it that even weather is unfair to those who are without any privileges in life?
So all these years, all those people were lying???

Tytler goes free.. Is CBI really being impartial/honest here? So many people are willing to testify against him.. or are we saying whole media is against him and has been making up stories…

Some people deserve to be hanged..

I can’t believe how degenerate or morally blank people be? Morally Blank, because even a person with an ounce of moral couldn’t consider this.
Mother and father are equated to Gods in our culture. And for good reason. For they give you life and make you the person you are. To abuse such a relationship, It’s just sad, pathetic and disgusting.
First Dungeon dad, now this. I hope no other daughter or son are suffering like this or suffer ever.

So I really can’t say you are an A******

It’s been 2 weeks since Mumbai Terror strikes.. I remember how we all spent our days glued to news, calls to friends, making sure everyone we knew over there was ok, discussing politics, venting out frustrations with system, hour long debates on whether we should declare war on Pakistan or not.. Not for a moment, did we wonder about anything else on this planet..
How could I miss warnings about Hurrican Nisha?? How could I forget about friends in Chennai??
I was so busy being worried about Mumbai terror that Chennai Tragedy got ignored..
After reading Brindz’s Blog, I realized terror is not the only thing people have to deal with.. There’s mother nature’s wraith as well…
Better Wise Up soon people…
PS: Sorry Brindz n P n other Infy homies… Hope everyone is good…
World Autism Day

April 2 was World Autism Day.. Autism is one of those things we all just ignore. After all, we personally do not know anyone who is autistic. Thanks to Chad for this reminder. Its a life-long hardship that parents and children go through. To say I understand their pain, would be a lie. However, to just be aware of autism, I’m helping a cause. And I hope you would think same. Please try to spread awareness about it.
Extinction of a culture by a culture

Recently I read an article about vanishing languages.. Great Andamanese is on top of the list of endangered languages. Only 8 people are left who can speak it and that too not so fluently. How sad it is?
In human quest of colonizing, spreading the so-called civilized culture, we have managed to destroy their culture. Their folk-lore is lost, their children can’t speak their language, their crafts are on verge of becoming lost.
Where are so-called Indian culture Saviors? Isn’t Andaman a part of our country? Don’t we have any responsibility towards natives? We make movies about ABCDs. Hell, more than half of books written by Indian Authors these days are about Identity Crisis. And yet, our tribes can’t even manage to survive and of course nothing is done but few studies by few professors, few articles, 1-2 books that no one would ever read.
I love my country. I can’t wait to get out of it. And I refuse to agree that Arundhati Roy or Jhumpa Lahiri are greatest authors or our times. (I don’t consider Chetan Bhagat an author.. And I’m not even getting into any argument about it.. )
I’m sorry that we have been so neglectful and we’ll probably stay this way til I become PM
